Week 2-6
Cow Sculpture - we will make a scale model of a cow for JGI to use to help to explain their research. Students will self divided into 3 groups: the Sculpture team, the painting team & the Drawing team.
- The Sculpture team will take the lead on the sculpture of the cow with other team members filling in to assist as needed. All students will participate in this part of the process.
- The Painting team will design and paint a background to be used behind our sculpture while it is on display.
- The Drawing team will design and create supplemental materials to help explain in laymen terms what the research team is hoping to learn through their work.
Week 2-3
Animal Cards - each student will receive two cards with an animal name written on the back. The students are tasked with designing the front of the card to illustrate their animal. Each card must include a finished drawing (in color pencil) of the animal, the animals name and a border.
Due Date: Students must turn in both cards and a full set of thumbnails for each card by September 10, 2010. Students will scan and upload each card to this blog.
Week 1
Introductions, getting to know each other, how to live/work in this studio, review notes on the elements of Art.
